Digital Marketing Specialist: COVID-19 Vaccine Equity Grant

Role description:
The Digital Marketing Specialist will work as part of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center (ISBCC) COVID-19 Vaccine Equity Project. This is a grant funded, temporary position awarded by the Boston Public Health Commission. The purpose of the grant is to increase vaccine access and awareness to communities disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center grant activities will focus on culturally competent public education to build confidence in the vaccination process; direct in-person outreach via appointment-setting; and wraparound support to increase vaccine access for immigrants, and Black/African Americans in Roxbury and Dorchester over the course of the summer 2021.
The Digital Marketing Specialist will work under the leadership of the ISBCC COVID-19 Vaccine Equity Project Manager to design high quality marketing material for vaccine public awareness. The Digital Marketing Specialist should be able to deliver timely flyer/public awareness material designs for printing as well as social media platforms. Must be timely/adhere to deadlines, have excellent organizational skills, and be able to work within a team.
Familiarity and passion in public health communication, and COVID-19 vaccine equity efforts a plus. Cultural competency strongly preferred.
This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Design high-quality and on-brand flyers and public awareness material
- Hands-on graphic design experience in print and digital
- Be timely in delivery of design content
- Create overall marketing strategy and materials; including follow marketing trends and branding
- Design website design and landing pages if needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor degree or higher; relevant work experience also taken into consideration
Must have experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Photoshop, Inesign, and Illustrator)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Website design experience is a plus.
