Assalamu Alaykum,

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon (To Allah we belong, and to Him is our return).

It is with extremely deep condolences, sadness, and heavy hearts, that we are heartbroken to announce that our dear, beloved brother Hajj Mohammed Hammou has passed away. His dedication to the Boston community and the house of Allah (SWT) at the ISBCC masjid has been incomparable and admirable since the very first days ISBCC open its doors to the community. His kindness and smile as he greeted everyone that entered through the doors of ISBCC with humbleness and warmth is unforgettable. His committed and welcoming presence, day in and day out, keeping the house of Allah (SWT) clean is something we here at the ISBCC, staff and board members, are blessed and grateful to Allah (SWT) to have witnessed and experienced. It is people like brother Hajj Mohammed whose smile and kindness have spread the beauty of Islam to each person who has been greeted by him and entered the house of Allah (SWT) at the ISBCC masjid.

He will be greatly missed. Our deepest condolences go out to to his family who have had to endure and witness the pain brother Hajj Mohammed’s has been through these past weeks.

Before being placed in a coma, Hajj expressed his thankfulness of the community and said “thank you everybody” for all the prayers for him. His last words were: “Please forgive me, please forgive me”.

May Allah (SWT) grant our beloved brother Jannatul Firdaus, the highest level of heaven. May Allah (SWT) protect his family and ease their pain during this difficult time.
