Asalamu Alaykum dear sisters and brothers, 

As the coronavirus crisis intensifies, many families in our community are struggling. While many of our local masajid and Islamic centers closed their doors for daily prayers and Jumaa, our staff and board members are still in service to the community through online platforms. The offices of the Islamic Society of Boston at ISBCC Roxbury and at ISB Cambridge are experiencing an increased volume of phone calls from the local student population and local families. As you may well know, rents in Boston and Cambridge are among the highest in the nation.

Those community members calling us are in a dire situation; many are out of work, out of student campus housing, and running out of cash to pay for necessities.

PLEASE also consider helping those Islamic centers and masajids stay in service NOW. We closed our doors as per public health directives and community safety, but will open many online channels to still serve the community, and our facilities staff have been hard at work with up keep daily mashallah!
