Nearly 500 of you blessed us at ISBCC’s Light Upon Light Iftar: Alhamdulillah, it was a great night! We reflected on the ways the ISBCC has been a beacon of light for the community. We were gifted this evening with testimonies of how our programming has been a leading light in the areas of Islamic Knowledge, Civic Engagement, Community, and Spirituality. We have been a leading light in responding to a hostile reality by building more allies and bonds with out neighbors, interfaith partners and political leaders. This year Shaykh Yasir gave his first every Muslim invocation at the State of the Commonwealth under a Republican Governor.
We were spiritually uplifted by our Senior Imam, Shaykh Yasir Fahmy, and our Keynote Speaker, Dr.Sherman Jackson. And we were energized by Dr. Altaf Husain’s motivation to give. We heard updates on ISBCC’s work and plans for this coming year, and raised $463,000 towards our goal of $500,000 to support ISBCC for this coming year. AlHamdulillah! Thank you to all who attended and generously donated on Saturday!
