“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you – when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.”
Throughout the year of 2016 Shaykh Yasir has taken the community on a journey through the Four Prophetic Spheres through a series of Khutbah and Halaqa. Check out the playlist below to journey through the sphere of Community.
Community is at the core of not only what the ISBCC does but of Islam as a whole. Check out the list below to see what you can do to be part of the ISBCC community here in Roxbury and what you can do expand the community beyond the walls of the mosque.
Spheres Community, Service
At the heart of the ISBCC is a community deeply devoted to the mission and vision of the ISBCC, the ISBCC Sustainers. Sustainers are committed to growing in the four spheres of the Prophetic life, giving back for the sake of Allah (swt) in more ways than one. Along with providing monthly sadaqah (at any amount), sustainers give their voice at our Sustainers Quarterly Meetings and have been at the forefront of major ISBCC projects and initiatives, including the Imam Search Committee, spearheading the 99 Names of Allah class, ISBCC building projects, and many more. As community members from ISBCC and other mosques have shared time after time there is an immense opportunity to build bridges across our mosques, help our congregations get in deeper relationship with each other, and together more effectively serve our ummah at the local level.
A preliminary conversation with area mosque leaders was started in October 2015 towards this goal of one ummah. ISBCC will continue working towards this goal through quarterly meetings planned by a team of leaders from different mosques, which bring mosque leaders together and concrete collaborative actions and projects.
If your masjid would like to join this collaboration, please email Rasha.email@example.com to be added to the list of attendees.
